After the success of Autotuning the news, it looks like the newest internet meme is giving beats and robot voices to make shit even more badass. Like the slapchop commercial, for example. Vince and Chris Brown should totally hang out.

This guy is amazing. He’s the same no matter what he’s selling. It’s always the greatest product ever. And they always have two words stuck together like ShamWow or SlapChop. Although I don’t think this one’s made in Germany, at least the free “Graty” is perfect for fettucini, linguine, martini…

Although I think he’s a little down in the dumps. Some proof:

• “This tuna’s boring. Stop having boring tuna, stop having a boring life.”
• “Life’s hard enough as it is. You don’t want to cry anymore” [about onions]

Finally, some other really quick favorite parts, in no particular order:

• The sound effect after he throws the store-bought chopper for being worthless.
• The arrow to point out the skin on the onion, just in case you can’t see it.
• “You’re gonna have an exciting life now” while he’s still talking about the tuna.
• The sparkling chopped fruit.

Do you need something stored? A car, ugly luggage, or even an AK-47? You should give Jones Big Ass Truck Rental and Storage a call. They’re having a limited time drunk sale.

I was in montreal for a wedding this weekend. Without the help of my DVR, I had the pleasure of enjoying some top shelf infomercials. My favorite, by far, was for the “FlavorWave Turbo.” Was it an amazing product? Maybe. But for me, it was all about hearing Mr. T saying “Enough of this jibber jabber, it’s time to pick up the phone and order your very own FlavorWave Turbo Oven.”

I wish this highlights reel included the takes of Mr T saying “Set it to cook and you’re off the hook”, but I guess that’s how they get you to watch it again.

PS - if anyone can help me track down the Quebecois french version of this infomercial I would appreciate it.

I don’t care if some sort of ‘effect’ overtakes you and doesn’t let you vote for the right (black) man for the job. Go vote. Plenty of third party candidates. Personally, my racism meant a vote for Bob Barr.*

* - to those who don’t get the joke, of course I Barack’d the vote.

I’m informed this is a real commercial from the St. Louis area. It’s been up a while but hasn’t really made the rounds. I don’t even to make any funny commentary, it’s awesome as is.
